Hi Ruben,

Great work! I have a question though. I want to make it resized dynamically when its container being resized. In the resize event handler function of container, I set x,y,width,height parameters of Book component to new values, it didn't work correctly. Does this component support resize at runtime? Any suggestion?

Thanks,

Hi Ruben,

I tried to use your component, I really like it:).
I also have some problem. I tried to load the book content dynamically, so I had to remove all the children (mean pages), and then add other pages, new ones, to the book.
My problem is that some shadow appears at flipping. It looks really ugly.. If I don't remove the old pages, I have no shadow problem, but I have pages, I don't need anymore.

I used the removeAllChildren() method, and the addChild() one..

I'm new to flex, so I would appreciate all your answers.
Thank you very much. :)

I was just wondering, if it is possible to make this flex book available in creating a webpage but with empty pages so as to post anything on each specific page? Can someone use it that way or is it not permitted.:?

P.S. This is exactly what I had in my mind, Nice, excellent work!!!!!!;)
Maia if you ever figure that out, please post it back.. I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to accomplish the exact same thing.. Flipping through all the pages isn't so hot for the 168 page book I have to put up..

Hi Ruben, thanks a lot for your great component.

I tried to make a new method in the book class similar than the gotoPage() one but with the difference that it would go directly to the specified page with just one flip without flipping through all pages in between but I only got very weird results. Do you have any suggestions on how to make that? I guess it's a hard one...
Hi, try this:
1. before listign set
book.autoFlipDuration = 10
book.easing = 0
2. book.gotoPage(finish_page)
3. Test the current page and when book.currentPage == finish_page set book.autoFlipDuration = 1000
book.easing = 0.7
Fliping is quick as flash :-)
